New Updates

Hey everyone, I'll post about updates I've made here.

Today, so far, I've added pictures by all the threads. I think it looks a lot nicer. Also, I've added a thanks button and rep. The reputation is the little +/- thing in the semi-top right hand corner of a post. If you click the plus, it will turn green. This means a user approves of the post. If you click the "-", that means you disagree withthe post. Try not to bad rep someone unless they really deserve it. It's just a nice way of rewarding someone for making a good post. As for the thanks button, it says I've added one, but I don't see it anywhere. I'll keep working on it. Also, I've added a chatbox. This is temporary until I figure out how to get a portal working. A portal is just a fancy version of a chatbox.
Edit: I've also made the Administration group green, and the moderator's group blue. Qui-gon and bobaffet, if you want a different color, just let me know. Also added a General Star Wars section and Games section.

So far, I'm planning to change our banner. This is just the generic banner that came with the Star Wars forum skin. I'll make a new one with GIMP, but it might take a little while. I'm slow at GIMP. Also, I'm working on finding a way to put a xat portal on the site. I'll continue to play around with the adminastration panel and see what I can come up with.

Ok, for some reason, the thanks button magically appeared. It's in the group of buttons in the top right-hand corner, and it's the farthest to the left. It's white and blue, you can't miss it. I added more smilies today, and I think I missed a few Star Wars ones when I looked through the list, so I'll have to ask qui-gon to look again for me. I submitted our site to google, and I'll resubmit it in the near future. I also made it possible for you to have a signature. Next, I'll be working on a new banner and rank images. These will be based on post count, and each ranking will be a difference in one hundred posts. I have it set on swords right now, but I'll be making custom ones eventually. But once you get up to 1000, that will be it. Admins will have their own ranking, so we won't be affected by post count. Eventually, mods will have their own ranking as well. That's all for now!

Edit: Just got done making the banner! I'm not too good at this stuff, so it's not that great, but I'm happy with it. For now.

Edit 2: Finished renaming the smilies. I apologize for my lack of Star Wars knowledge, and all of the smiley names are based on appearance. At least you have Star Wars smilies now! My favorite is:

Edit 3: I finally got the portal working! I'm so excited! That will really help us get more members, portals are a lot of fun. But I'm going to keep the chat for now, as kind of a members-only thing. If it doesn't get any use, I'll delete it later on.

So far, on this wonderful Mother's Day, I've made a playlist for the portal. I only added fifteen or sixteen songs, if you have a suggestion then feel free to post it! I made a thread about it in the Feedback And Suggestions section. Also, I made the Admin rank image. Isn't it cute? ^^ I love R2D2, he's my favorite character. I also made an ATSW logo for my signature on a different site. I added a link to it, so hopefully some people will click on it and join!

I haven't made too many new updates lately, I've been really busy with school and other sites. But I did add a Video Games section to the Lounge. It'll give me something to talk about. Also, I'm going to make a thread about this site on one of my other sites. The first one was a bust, but you know the saying: If at first you don't succeed, try try again! ^^ And I'll be making those rank images if qui-gon and bobafett ever make me that list. Don't get 100 posts before then!
